I have been studying and speaking Spanish for several years. While my Spanish is not perfect, my understanding is sufficient to help you learn English if you can express the idea or concept in Spanish, but you are having trouble putting the words into English. During classes, I always speak English unless I believe communicating a word, idea, or concept in Spanish will help to save you time and money.

4. Where are you located?
I was born in the United States and lived and worked there all my life until I moved to Queretaro, Mexico, in January 2021. I am now a Permanent Resident of Mexico.  

5. Do you offer online classes? In-person?
I offer online classes in English to students anywhere in the world
utilizing the Zoom platform. 

On rare occasions, I provide in-person instruction at my home in
Queretaro, or at other locations in the Queretaro area. I am located
in Zakia, within the gated community called Allegro (Riscos),
conveniently located alongside the park on Paseo de Zakia.

6. How long in duration are the classes?
The huge majority of the classes are scheduled for 1 hour (60
minutes). I have a few classes that last 1.5 hours and 2.0 hours, but
most students prefer 1-hour classes.

Most students schedule at least 2 classes per week. Some students
opt for 3 classes per week, and occasionally a student will even
choose to have classes every day of the week.

7. What is your teaching style or methodology?
I am not a school.

I teach every class myself.

You receive one-to-one instruction directly from me.

No group sessions. You have my full attention.

Each class is customized and personalized just for you.
I get to know you sufficiently so I can personalize each lesson to help you reach your personal and/or career goals.

I have an almost unlimited number of resources and educational material which I share with you at no cost.  I pay for online resources and books which we use along with artificial intelligence and other technology.  

8. What is your main area of expertise?
I enjoy teaching students of all ages, ten years or older.  

My focus is on helping students of all ages and levels improve on the English they already know so they can excel at school, work and in their personal lives where a strong command of the English language is useful or necessary.

I specialize in helping working professionals and business owners with the highest possible levels of Business English. I also provide assistance and consultation on work, educational, and personal projects.

In the area of career development, I can help you with your resume,
curriculum vitae, or cover letter. Another of my specialties is helping you to prepare and practice for your job interview in English.

10. What if I need to reschedule a class?
For each set of classes, you can reschedule a certain number of
classes (15% of the total number), for any reason, and with or without notice. This number should be sufficient to cover issues related to meetings, traffic, work, vacation, minor illness, power outages, internet connectivity, et cetera.

Additionally, when we initially arrange the schedule, if you already know that you cannot attend class on certain days, in advance, you can designate up a reasonable number of meetings that you will not attend, and they will not count as absences.

When you are unable to attend a class, one or all of the classes that are credited will be added to the end of the initial schedule and will follow the established pattern for the date and time combination of previous classes.

A class that is rescheduled as a credit class cannot be rescheduled a second time and that time will be lost.

If we are working on a special project, or if you sign up for 8 or fewer classes or hours, none of the sessions can be rescheduled.

I generally do not offer classes after 7 p.m. or on weekends,
therefore, if out of necessity or as a courtesy, we mutually agree to
schedule during these times, absences cannot be rescheduled, and
your time will be forfeited.

I will always do my best to make sure you don't lose money paid for class times. I do, however, request that you respect my time as well.

Refunds will not be given for missed classes or those not taken for
whatever reason.

Depending on the circumstances, at my sole discretion, and in compliance with all other rules, I will consider rescheduling classes for other dates, provided class times are available and mutually suitable with our schedules.

11. How much do you charge for each class?
The price for each one-hour class ranges from $200 per hour to $350 per hour depending on the total number of classes you select and pay for in advance. You can benefit significantly from a
discount of more than 40% by enrolling in and paying for multiple classes.

Special projects and business service consultations are priced separately, and charges are quoted and agreed to in advance.

12. More about costs and available hours?
The classes are affordable. The prices above include substantial
discounts (more than 40%) when you schedule and pay in advance
for multiple classes.

My rates are among the lowest and provide great value because they are taught solely by me on a one-to-one basis and are personalized to meet your needs. You will always have my full attention, and I teach every class myself. You will not be rotated among several teachers.

13. Do you require payment in advance?
Yes. Class times are limited, and I require payment in advance to
guarantee your reserved appointments.

To take advantage of applicable discounts, my strong preference is
that you pay for multiple classes in advance and in one single
payment via bank transfer.

Depending on the number of classes you select and pay for, we can
schedule classes over a period of between 1 and 6 months.
As soon as I receive your payment, your classes will be added to the calendar and those time slots will be yours from month-to-month for as long as you wish to renew and maintain them.

14. Are there any additional costs, e.g., materials?
No. I provide all the materials online and there are no additional
costs. You pay for only the hours you spend in class – nothing else.

16. Do you offer a free class so I can get to know you?
Yes, I am more than happy to schedule a short and free Zoom call so we can get to know each other, and you can decide whether you
want to plan your classes.

17. How much availability do you have?
My services are high quality and in high demand. Since I specialize in teaching adult learners and because I provide every lesson myself, my availability is limited, particularly during the early mornings and evenings after work hours.

Generally, I have more availability during the daytime hours.
However, schedules change, and students eventually complete their
lesson plans and time slots occasionally become available.
Therefore, if you are interested in classes, get in touch with me and I can let you know if your desired hours are currently available.

18. Do you have classes on the weekend?
No. I provide many class hours early in the morning, throughout the
day, and late at night Monday through Friday, therefore, I do not
have any class times on Saturday or Sunday.
