Methodology

I  was born in the USA, and I lived and worked there all my life (until 2021).  I  am now a Permanent Resident of Mexico. I believe that my concepts and methodology for teaching English to students in Mexico and in other countries is quite different than what you regularly encounter.

The price for each one-hour class ranges from $200 per hour to $350 per hour depending on the total number of classes you select and pay for in advance.  Your can benefit significantly from a discount of more than 40% by enrolling in and paying for multiple classes.

Special projects and business service consultations are priced separately and charges are quoted and agreed to in advance.

 About Me

With experience in administrative and supervisory roles in the insurance, claims adjusting, law firm, corporate, governmental, private, and nonprofit settings, I am a highly motivated and efficient trainer and career coach.

I moved from Dallas, Texas, to Querétaro in January 2021.  I am semi-retired, but I would like to spend some time helping a limited number of learners with whatever English needs they may have.  

As such, I will be working with a few individuals to provide intensive and effective lessons or help with special projects.  

I worked for two employers since 2006.  In those roles, and previously, I was the Office Manager, Administrator, or assisted upper management including the CEO, first-named partner, or C-suite executive. 

 

My work has always involved the trust and confidence of the most senior members of management, from whom I have excellent recommendations and letters of reference which you can view in the Testimonials section of this website.

I possess a wealth of soft skills and other intangibles, and I carry out my work with my heart as well as with my hands and mind. 

 

I am a mature, responsible person with old-fashioned values and work ethic, but with a deep appreciation for and knowledge of modern-day systems and technologies.

Success

I do not believe someone is successful only if they make a certain amount of money or attain some level of education or employment. Just as there are many types of intelligence, I believe success can be celebrated similarly.  It is important to me that I like the person I see when I look in the mirror. I want to live a good life and I want those who are important to me to be proud of me.  I want to behave ethically and morally at work and at home because that is how I will achieve the better life, regardless of what other people are doing.  I know that I have an undeniable will to live, to learn, and to be happy.  Therefore, I do those things that allow me to live, to learn, and to be happy.  I know that I enjoy freedom in all its forms, including the kind that comes from money and not having a lot of debt so I enjoy work.  I love to learn so I enjoy pushing beyond my comfort zone.  I am thankful to my family, friends, and my dogs because they make me happy.  I know that I will be remembered for the work I put forth and for the things I create that outlive my life and the memories others have of me.  Life involves work and effort.  In return, we are rewarded in one way or another.  Whether we receive recognition or awards matters less because we grow and move forward with every accomplishment whether others notice or not.  In view of all this, I am content to continue my life with as much effort as possible in a forward direction in all areas and hopefully ever with only a minimum of backslide.
